How does the Spare Tire Kit affect the use of the pass-thru?

I shoot A LOT of archery (suprised?). I need to know if my bows will fit in an '8. I have bows up to 70" in length. A long time ago I used to transport my bows in the cab but that was a real pain in the ***.

The spare blocks the passthrough. The passthrough box is still removable. There's a tiny amount of space at the very bottom. You might be able to put something really flexible and thin like a fishing rod but I doubt that a bow will make it.

 

What about if you remove the tire? Does the mounting bracket still block the pass-thru?

 

If you take out the tire you'll be fine. the mounting bracket is way at the top inside the trunk; it won't affect pass through at all.
