Picked up my new 8!!!
i picked up my car today after a loooong weeks wait. had to wait for papers from my cosigner to go across the country and back.
its so much fun to drive and i am not even pushing it at all yet. cant wait to really learn how to drive it. going to take to the road tracks next year that i race bikes on like beaverun and mid ohio. i have the master the manual car first though
its a 2005 MT white (as you can see) 15k miles. GT. 1 owner. not sold till may of 06. its in great shape. few marks on the wheels from mounting tires but not a big deal.
i have always liked the rx8 and wanted one 2 years ago but did not have the ***** to spend the money. i finally got it though and it was well worth it. i got it for 14k otd. i think i got a nice price.
i love the brakes. they are so much better than on my dodge intrepid. well everything is better than on that car but the brakes feel great and the car so stable when on them. the car just sticks when you throw it in to a corner and i am sure it can handle a lot more.
i will get better picks after i clean it up some. the dealer cleaned the inside really well but not so much on the outside. and the sun roof guard has got to go
i am not going to go crazy on the mods because cars are second to my race bike and this car is great already. i am thinking of doing a supercat and an exhaust. maybe a cobb down the road and a short throw shifter. i would like a body kit but they are just to expensive to get mounted and painted.

I would suggest stiffer/adjustable sways. Pretty cheap and make a huge difference IMO.

well i have been driving it for a couple days now and i hate this car...
No i am just kidding.
i LOVE it.
its so damn fun. the power is great. i love the sound of the engine so much i never use the radio. the handling is amazing. it just sticks and sticks. if there is a dip in the turn on one side of the road it just so elegantly takes care of it. the suspension i love it.
this is my first rwd car so i am trying to find the limits of accelerating out of a corner. with out crashing. i have no idea whats going to happen really when i break the back end loose. i should probably go to a parking lot. i know your suppose to steer with the slide. i want to get it out on a road course and do some track days.
tracking control and dsc will stop major rear wheel spin right?

hey morssolis, nice deal and i will tell you however that if yours is similar to mine, there will be scratches/marks below the sun guard thing, i have not taken care of mine yet considering there are kind of hard to notice until your next to the car but still, it can bother you sometimes.

no i got papers taken care of with taxes. they sent papers right to my state.
i did get screwed on gap insurance. i did not know i needed so the bank made me buy it at 600 bucks. i might have been able to get it from my insurance a lot cheaper but who knows. still a good deal. and it did not go to the stealership

gap insurance really isn't a bad thing. that just means that if your car is ever totaled, you won't be in the hole if the retail value is less than what your loan is worth. could save you a lot of money in the long run.
