PITA seatbelts!!
Hey everyone with a crumb-cruncher, do you have problems with the rear seatbelt latch being a pain to reach?
I purchased a Compass booster seat B505 that the little one loves but the seat belt latch is too far down to reach beside the seat.
Is there a solution to this like a longer version from another Mazda?
Seat belt extender device?
Sell the car???
Thanks all for any help.

Opus is the man!
But back to the topic posted.. If it doesnt work, then yes. Probably time to get another car or sell the RX8.. Never quite saw it as a baby hauler / family car.
Or get a car seat that works..

do a search. There are a number of people on who have car seats or boosters in the car and they work fine. I just put a baby seat in mine using the LATCH system a couple of weeks ago, and it was a little difficult but once it is in there, it's very solid.

I have a carseat in mine, but the belt goes through the inside of the seat instead of over the kid like a booster seat. He's my lil' navigator back there, he won't go anywhere without his sunglasses though.
Curious though, how old is the little one, wondering when we'll have to make the leap to a booster seat.

Did a search and did not find anything helpful
She is five and due to the sculptured nature of the rear seats meaning the deep recess of the butt pad most Graco/Evenflo type seats don't fit well. The base is wider than the recess and moves around a fair amount.
The Compass/ Britax styles fit down into the seat but the accesss to the seatbelt latch sucks. The rear latch is allready flush or slightly below the seat so it makes it that much harder to reach down and connect the belt.
I tried many different seats at babies R us and target and this is the best compromise for the fuzz-head.
To WoodsOfGreenRX8, Hell no I am not selling the 8, I sold the RX-7 cause of her, bought the 8 because of her.
