Please help im new here :(
Hi I'm having problems trying to figure out what's wrong with my rx8 I know that to flood an engine you would have to turn it on not let it cool and turn it off quickly , but I was driving my car to work and back home (about 30 min drive ) as I made my last turn to my block I was in second gear rev about 5,000 going to third gear when out of nowhere my car acted if it shut off , it felt like I stalled so I put it in neutral and since I was going 20mph I rolled as far as I could , I tuned off the car and tried turning it back on but it does not wanna turn back on .... I am so confused because I know it cannot be a flooded engine .. Please I need help anyone?

There are a lot of questions that immediately pop into mind, and a variety of possible solutions.
First though, I recommend you search the technical and troubleshooting subforums for the sticky titled "starting issues? START HERE". There you'll find potential solutions. Once you have searched and narrowed it down/ eliminated possibilities, the feel free to post those results here.

okay so even if the fuel pump is new what could be the reason for a failed fuel delivery system, also i tried the de flooding procedure and the car wouldnt do anything at all .. mainly because you might be right . what should i do next

Check to be sure the pump is installed correctly, and a fuel line isn't pinched, or loose.
*edit* Did you have the same problem before, causing you to replace the pump?

it looks normal to me can it be the fuel injectors? because my battery is good and when i crank the starter is good , you can hear no compression though and that has to be to the fact of my fuel line not giving any pressure to the engine

You didn't suddenly get all fuel injector failure
Check that the pump is coming on...if it was wired poorly or the connector isn't connected properly it won't work
Is it flooded?

Good for you and lucky too I was thinking maybe another "my engine suddenly died and won't start" to go along with the death march theme thread developing but in the end a good news story for a change and BTW you flood it if you don't allow it to warm up properly before shutting it down not waiting for it to cool also BTW, welcome noob .

Thanks guys and also an update , see if I can get some advice from the pros like yourselfs... I installed a new fuel pump because it had a crack and my car smelled like gas , now after I installed the new fuel pump my car still smells like gas CUZZ I still get that burning eye feeling while I drive , by any chance can that be my fuel injectors or my CAT ? Any advise as well as diagnosing a bad CAT , just new to the rx8 car but I've done a lot of research on the car .. Regardless I hope you guys can help on this one

Did you do it yourself?
If the tank was almost full, gas could spill out and get all over.
If someone else did it, they could have spilled gas from the pump into the carpet or cushions.
Was the pump cracked, or the retaining ring?
Fuel line has a type of clip-on connection, it could be loose, or leaking.

The best way is to remove it and shine a light through it.
Other signs are rattling, stalling or hesitating when revving, CEL flashing, (clogged cats can cause misfires) Solid CEL, P0420 code; Catalytic Converter Below Threshold Efficiency.
Cat glowing red, although some people say it's not necessarily a bad cat, especially after hard driving.
If you have had misfires, (flashing CEL) odds are the cat is damaged.
Bad cat strata
This was my bad cat. The front half was broken up, clogging the back half.
If the back half breaks up, then pieces of the strata can block the exhaust pipe or muffler, they would have to be removed and shaken out of the catback.

Thanks guys , so my car definetly doesn't hesitate when revving or actually sounds like any problem it's mainly just that gas smell , so today I'll look and see and I didn't replace the fuel pump myself a. Mechanic did , I'll take a. Look at it today and another thing guys , I put 5w20 synthetic oil on rx8 or non synthetic , I've been hearing a lot 5w30 as well , any recommendations from the pros to a noob

No, don't necessarily stick to what you think is best, he's saying search and read the multitude of threads regarding oil instead of turning this one into a another one and THEN make your own conclusion and I'd like to add only this on that topic, primarily give consideration to your location and what temps are like.

Read the new owners sticky. You'll learn a lot about the engine and the rx8.
As far as how much gas you use: that depends on your driving habits and the health of your ignition. But I urge you to READ THE NEW AND POTENTIAL OWNERS STICKY prior to asking any other questions.

^^ what he said. You don't want have problems because you didn't know something, or because you didn't recognize early symptoms, so read that sticky.
Each quarter of the gas tank gauge should get you about 60miles/100km. The last quarter is weird because the needle slows down, but basically, 120 miles on the first half tank is my experience. That's assuming you're not spending a lot of time at red lights, traffic, etc.
