Is it possible to convert AT to MT
#27
Yeah I realized how wrong I was while I went on to actually work today. And You know That was sarcasm right? I read your thread on the swap when I first joined the forum. I thought the whole ignition chip "thing" all having to match seemed to be a pain. (I no longer know if I make any sense at all these days) hope I make some kind of sense here if not w/e

Come on man, I'm not trying to bust your *****, but you can't expect me to believe you didn't even poke your head into the AT specific section and see a sticky right at the top that says "AT to MT swap", can you?
Do this. Open the search window, click advanced search. Enter "manual swap" as terms, and select "at specific mods" as the forum to search. Tell me what comes up as the first result.

You're acting like I made a thread of a question that's already been asked hundreds of times.
So, not only do you want someone else to be the guineapig for the swap and find out what all is necessary; not only do you want them to take the time to document this online and post it; not only do you want it to be stickied in the most appropriate area for reference; but you also expect to be spoon fed a direct link because you can't be bothered to look? You looking for someone to come wipe your *** for you too?

If I knew where to look, I wouldn't have needed to post it here. Like I said, I did a search with no results. Am I supposed to know that I should have searched "manual swap" instead of "at to mt"?

All I asked is if it had been done, and if it was cost effective. I never asked anyone to go out and try it. I now see that you have already done it, found out what's necessary, posted about it, had it stickied, and that you're better than everyone else. But since your thread has the information I was looking for, thanks for helping.

The link was provided to me ONCE by mbentley and I thanked him for that. Rotary Resurrection's link did not go to the thread. Feel free to enter the search term I said I tried and see how well it works out.
