possibly trading the 8
hey guys
i might end up trading my 8 mid next year, I'm going to be looking for a newer 8 possibly 09+ . It depends in what comes first, the reason being is because the 8 i bought has been Mechanically deprived of service.
i still have good compression and the car has been well taken care off, so i wont feel bad for the next owner. right now i need to install a new clutch and springs/shocks, i have a set of S-techs here at home waiting to be installed and soon a act clutch.
hopefully the next 8 i get still has the Original manufacturers Warranty.i really want to avoid having to fix something the moment i drive it of the lot, i just want to enjoy driving my new Future car without worrying about anything mechanically.
also i feel i should write a letter explaining or something similar to the new owner of my future ex 8 how to properly maintain his 8, kinda like Basic guidelines he should follow instead of coming here or any other forum asking the same newb questions. ex... Premixing, No Hard accelerating when motor is cold, Top off oil Every fill up, ETC...

You could explain how to take care of the car if you want. I think if the person buying the car really cared they would already have done research on it and know the stuff. If they know nothing about it and are looking at buying it I doubt even telling them how to care for it would help anything.
Getting an s2 rx8 is a good idea, I have high hopes for mine being able to last and hopefully not having any major engine problems. Lots of fixes done to it s1 -> s2.

Depends what you mean by modified? I can put springs, an exhaust, all that on it. Does the AP work with it? No. I haven't exactly explored this myself but I imagine with some $$ anythings possible. :P

well, im not really planning on Modding the 8 that much, probably just Teins, A midpipe and a bhr ignition. kinda similar to what i have now, oh and a double din Radio. i'm fine with my 8's performance, i just rather have a newer 8 so i dont have to deal with anything mechanical for a while
