Production cycles and model years?

So I'm trying to budget for 2009, which will hopefully include an RX-8.

Based on the 2009 info thread stickied here, it appears the '09s went into production in March/April of '08 and were here by the middle of this year.

So I'm wondering if the case will be the same for the 2010 model year (i.e. going into production in March/April of 2009)?

How has Mazda gone about RX-8 model year switchovers in recent years? For example, when did the MY07 and MY08 go into production?

With RX8 depreciation, you should just get a year old model with low miles.

I'd wait a couple of years for the new 16x motor.

Yeah, thanks for the suggestions, but I am in no way interested in either of those options.

If someone could answer for me my question regarding the production starts of MY07 and MY08 RX-8s, I would be grateful.

Right, I know that's the way it works with most cars but that may not be the way that Mazda does it, especially with the RX-8.

Again, the '09s went into production in March/April of this year and I think at least one member here took delivery of their 09 in June.

So I would like to know definitively if this March production/June delivery cycle has been in the case for other recent model years (07 and 08). If someone would have a link to an official Mazda order guide for the MY07 and 08 cars (as we have one stickied for the 09), I think that would answer the question.

Yeah, I guess I'm just anxious for someone here who works for Mazda to post an order guide for MY10, but that's probably a few months off at least. I'm just anxious!
