On purchasing a 2006 Shinka...and new membership
Hey all, first timer here so go easy on me, please.
Anyway, I found a 2006 Shinka for sale in Delaware for $20,000. It has 15,000 miles, and was apparently a Mazda lease vehicle previously. The car appears to be in near new condition (I am going to see it on Saturday).
What I am looking for it some advice on what a fair price would be for this vehicle, as well as other things to look for/ask about.
I already asked the dealer if the engine had been replaced (as I read some things about some engines failing a 'vacuum test' and having the entire thing replaced.) Also, the dealer stated that the entire car is under a B2B warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles, so that would be September 2010.
Anyways, I'll attach some fun pictures, because really who doesn't appreciate some visual love?. I welcome any advice about the car, owning a rotary or the forums in general.
Also, if I should have put this in the "purchasing" area please slap me around and I'll delete/repost it.

HI . no worries they are some jockers around this forum that like to flame people , not me.. i help you out ...first 20,000 is to much you can probably go low 18k or 17k easy. make the dealer show you carfax and maintenance records before you buy. IF they dont wanna negotiate to much on the price..leave and come back another day with another dealer offer always work . good luck

I say make the dealer want to sell you the car. If they really want to get rid of the car, they will go to you with a much better deal.
and if you do get a great offer (mainly what is already said above) I say go for it, but then again what do I know and Copper Red Shinka RX-8....
Best of Luck and keep us in the loop when you do pick her up

How much would be "fair" in everyone's educated opinion?

So I took the plunge today and brought my baby home, 2006 Shinka GT
Then I promptly almost died trying to pull into my parking garage because of ice.
Anyways, just wanted to update everyone who helped me make this decision.
Also, what kind of gas mileage are you guys getting? I know it has a small gas tank but it dropped to about 1/2 during the 95 mile drive home from the dealer.
Oh yeah! Almost forgot! Pics or it didn't happen! Well, you'll have to wait. Sorry!
