My BIGGEST gripe with the car is the lacking ability to change the HU and how difficult it is to add any audio upgrades. Not that it is impossible, just more expensive and time consuming then most cars.
Sheesh! Get the TC.

Sounds like you already convinced yourself on the tC, so go get it.
As far as swapping the headunit on the RX-8, there is a corksport kit right now for around $450 and metra is coming out with a kit soon-ish for $180.

Would you call yourself a deviant? If so, then scion is telling you to buy it.
Not that I agree with that ad. Every time I'm driving on campus or at the nearby apartments passing 8 or 9 TC's, sometimes parked right next to each other (and it's not even a meet), all I can think is "wow... look at all these deviants... there's so many of them... and they're all the same... and your typical college student too... but scion tells me they're deviants, so they must be..."
The most deviant thing about scion is the fact they try to advertise it as being deviant. And even then, that isnt. They might not advertise the 8, but at least they dont advertise it poorly.

cant' you add the trd supercharger to the tc?? it could add a little juice. The rx8 will drain you financially it is a blast to drive so you will find your self spending money on gas like crazy. and since i'm a 20 yr full time college student not good. But who has to eat :D as long as you can drive.

I work at a Toyota dealership and have test drove a TC several times. The cars are so different in every way that it'll be pointless to argue. It comes down to what your looking for, the 8 is a sports car and the TC is a compact coupe. The 8 was engineered to be a rival of the Z, the TC was engineered to be a corolla coupe. If your worrying about reliability and also gas mileage then please get the TC because you'll have less maintenance and better gas mileage. But when your bumping your system in your TC, I'll be flying past you listening to my RENESIS sing.

i would say it's all about love. if you don't love the rx8, you'll have a hard time living with it. if you have to ask others which one is better, you don't love the 8 enough and you should get the TC.
