Having owned both an 07 tc which i traded for an rx-8 i have to say the rx-8 is a joy to drive. I never really appreciated front wheel drives. IMO rear wheel drive cars are much funner to drive. The TC is ok for what it is but i would rather have an older rx-8 than a new TC.

actually a modified tc will spank an 8 in the low due to torque but once the 8 is in 2nd its pretty much done with and the tc has no chance anything up top/hp the tc runs out of breath quickly.

from modernracer.com:
tC:
Top speed : 127 mph(electronically limited)
0-60 mph : 7.5 sec.(manual)
0-¼ mile : 15.7 sec @ 88 mph(manual)
60-0 braking distance : 125 ft
200 ft skidpad : 0.81 g
RX8:
Top speed : 148 mph(electronically limited)
0-60 mph : 5.9 sec.
0-¼ mile : 14.5 sec @ 95.6 mph(manual)
60-0 braking distance : 114 ft
200 ft skidpad : 0.88 g
The RX8 stomps the tC in every single category. The tC isn't even a sports car....it's a low budget Toyota. It looks ok and has some great options, but is NOT anywhere near the same league as the RX8 and its competitors (350Z, S2000, etc).
I have an 8 with 82000 miles. Have had NO issues with it, still runs the same way I got it 2 years ago with 32000 miles.
Get the 8. If you want a fun driving experience, there's no better car.

Elite Eight
okay that is 100% bs cause i took a TCwith the SAME setup by more than a car in my 8 and there is no way the TC is getting 180WHP just from and exhaust, intake and headers ... MAYBE 180HP to the crank but that wouldnt even touch an 8

you are extremely ignorant, i know a few people that have gotten 180 to the wheel. FULL exhaust makes a big difference in that car, combined with an intake and a hint of tuning and 180 wheel is easily accomplished. it is very feasible that a car with the same WHP as an 8 with a lighter body will beat it. not beat by much, but beat.
