Red face Question about logistics

So "edj" was nice enough to give me a stock exhaust. A friend in Austin picked it up for me in Austin [using his F150], and ideally I'm supposed to go pick it up from him this weekend.

So here's the question. Can the stock exhaust [muffler end] be finagled into the passenger seat floorboard, vertical - with the cat-end juxtaposed through the cargo door, and into the trunk?

If it's too tall vertically, how about diagonally, with one side of the muffler resting on the passenger floorboard, the other propped above the shift ****?

Am I dreaming? I assume that the U-Bolt is still in place, with the pipe still irremovably compressed around the muffler inlet...

As always, thank you for your responses in advance!

Bump. This information or at least opinions on whether it's even worth attempting would be very useful to me!

Sounds like quite a challenge im sure you can do it but you would be extremely uncomfortable in the car , impairing your visibility lol no but forreal i had to do the same thing when i had my custom exhaust put on lay the passenger seat down for more room wrap the muff up for sure and the piping should go all the way to the back to the trunk no problem. good luck !!

Well..let me put it this way. I gave mine away and we just barely got it in a CX7, so I would say.......I doubt it. Find someone with a truck!

I'll be sure to take pics...if it happens. Either way I'd like to try because it'll make my friend's life easier, and I don't like burdening people, I'm sure it's taking up a ton of room as it is.

Wonder how long it would take to forceably remove the canister at that junction, as I'd be welding up plates there anyway, so I can easily switch out dual straight pipes [wishbone from the U-bolt] for a turn-down for track days.

We'll see, I guess.

Tell you what................I'd foam the **** out of the roof and tie it up there before I tried to cram it in my 8. Well, if you cut it at the junction, it might work out okay????????? If you get it in there.......we wanna see pics!
