Question about Mazda's warranty on my used 8
I've got two questions.
1) How does Mazda's warranty apply if I bought 8? Because the dealer I bought it from wasn't a Mazda dealership. So does that mean that the factory warranty still apply?
if so, would they fix these problems?
2) The A/C Button fell off and the arm rest open sideways when positioned forward (it should only open sideways when slit back).
I know it sounds like a dumb question but I'm not sure weither this is normal wear and tear, or because it was handled too rough. But I know that the warranty pretty much covers defects right?
Thanks!

Your warrant still applies but only from the date your car was purchased by it's first owner.
Your warranty might cover it, never hurts to ask. I bought my 06 RX-8 with 4k miles on it (like new). The only issue was the driver's side visor was broke. This part was plastic and I thought Mazda wouldn't replace it and just blame it on the owner. Surprisingly, they replaced it without any question.

Sunvisors and heater/AC control ***** are known problems. There are TSBs on them. They'd be covered by warranty. Look for the TSBs at

If the car is still under the warranty period as stated in your owners manual by all means take it to any Mazda service dealership and show the broken items to the service manager. I would bet the service manager would replace them free of charge for you.
Good luck.
Good luck.
