your link doesnt work, and ebay links are not allowed...

the MS exhaust is nice it will be louder than your stock...but it still has a nice tone to it

dude, check youtube, there are tons of it.

from what i've heard, its a bit louder than stock, good tones all around, and no drone...
a little too quiet for my taste though.

^^^ Says the guy with single exit HKS

This is a great exhaust I love mine. Definitely louder than stock and a nice deep tone. I do not think it is obnoxiously loud, but people will hear you coming if you step on it.

i am asking because on the ebay link they have a single muffler exhasut with 2 exits
and
dual muffler exhaust with 2 exits.

the one with single muffler with 2 exist they say has OE sound. and the dual muffler exhaust has more aggresive sound.

what im trying to achieve is a little deeper. but not too deep. maybe something like the sound of the g35 or 350z.

i had a mazdaspeed exhaust on my mazda3 a few years ago and it sounded way too loud for my taste.

the rev, haha what can i say! =] i like to hear my exhaust! lol!

but anyways, i think the racing beat may be louder, but not actually sure.
i'm pretty sure it is, plus the racing beat has bigger tips that look amazing. they fill out the exhaust shroud area a lot better!

so in comparison, racing beat is louder than mazdaspeed?
if thats the case, mazdaspeed is the one i want if i dont want the deep loud tone? i just want to hear the engine, but i want a lil noise from the exhaust

i had a setup with my bmw 325ci, with gruppeM intake and AA gen3 muffler. it sounded amazing!
i want to achieve something like that... any ideas?

Whoa whoa the MS is louder than the RB exhaust. Unless you get the RB race exhaust.

From what I've heard get the RB exhaust if you want a mellower subtle exhaust tone.

what about hymee exhausts?

ok maybe i should rephrase this
which aftermarket exhaust will give a little sound, but not noticably louder?
which one is the quietest aftermarket exhaust and let other know that i still do have an aftermarket exhaust when driving by?

for what it sounds like you're looking for you defintely want to get either RB or MS, both will give the sound you're looking for and are great products.

ok nikdizzle. thanks for your input!
just a question though... from my original post, why are there 2 different mazdaspeed exhausts?

part number for the single muffler is Part#: QSEA-40-100A (2009)
part number for the dual muffler is GRMS-8M-K11 (2009)

Search for this on ebay and you'll see
MAZDA RX8 / RX-8 MAZDASPEED SPORT EXHAUST 2009

and also that 2009 makes me worried as i have a 2004 rx 8 and will these exhausts fit my car?

honetly, i'm not certain why they made 2 different kinds, but if you go the MS route, you want the dual muffler for sure. i dont even know of anyone that has the single muffler...

no worries, MS makes the dual muffler exhaust for 04-08 as well, its not just an 09 feature. and i'm pretty sure that 09 parts dont fit on o4-08 either.

hope that makes sense. if you're looking for the MS exhaust try to get in contact with brice from FLUID MOTORSPORTS he's vendor on here, and i think he can get a fairly decent price on it. he can defintely help asnwer your questions.

Mazdaspeed has 2 exhausts for 2004-2008
A single canister exhaust looks similiar to the stock set up
A dual canister "sport" exhaust

-Pros:
Mazda Product

Cons:
I heard welds are a little iffy on beginning models

It sounds similiar to the stock but a tad bit overall louder. Still conservative

Racing Beat has two exhaust
A dual muffler<----- Still conservative, has a deep growl
A single muffler(similiar to HKS hi power) <---This will be loud

Hymee is diffcult to get in the US, I have been waiting for one for a few months now

the "does it sound good" is a very personal thing so you better check 50 youtube clips before you make your decision.

Borla is probably a mid range in "loudness". Greddy Sp2, Agency Power, some Exoticspeeds being at the extremely loud end.

If you consider getting some sort of midpipe(straight, hi flow cat, gutted cat, single resonated, dual resonated, some other random combo I didn't list) and you wish to stay "conservative"

I'd stay in lines with Racing Beat or Mazdaspeed.

Racing Beat and Mazdaspeed are RX-8 companies. racing beat is all rotaries for the most part and well mazdaspeed is well mazda

Thanks.

In general, what do folks think of Borla? Is it just the Bose of exhausts (i.e. more expensive for name recognition?), or truly superior?
