Question about my warranty concerning the paint

I was washing my car this sataurday and I found a spot of rust on the roof. I was like WTF! I showed it to my friend and he said it seems like a chemical reaction and that it was a factory issue that maybe they didnt coat the paint properly.

I have a 2006 and so I have the 48/50,000 bumper to bumper I wanted to know if this will be covered in the warranty?

actually zebart does the underbody and paint coating which they stand behind for only $299 on new purchases (which would have been the case in your situation).

Yeah they did the spray thing before I bought the car, this is how that conversation went.

Me "So you are charging me 1000 for paint protection?"
Dealer "Yeah, its standard on the cars."
Me "What if I didnt want the protection, But its too late now and you cant take it off right?"
Dealer "No we cant take it off once it's bee put on."
Me "But you can take off the 1000 right?"

They took the 1k off the price for me.

Anyways I went to the dealer by my office for them to inspect it and they told me its a deep paint chip and that I could get some rust remover and use that and then use the touch up paint. Unfortunately I dont have touch up pain and neither does the dealer or any dealers within the miami and broward area due to the rarety of the color (Phantom blue) so they need to order it and it should com ein 4 days. My friend recommended a rest remover that wouldnt strip the paint (he used to use it on his project car) so I will be picking that up the same day as the paint.

those so called "paint protection" are nothing but a bottle of bullshit that cost them 5 bux. It does nothing and they're charging people from 250 - 1K (actually, they have the ***** to charge 1K for that ****)

The paint protection and paint warranty that they try to upsell you is a pile of crap. If you look at the standard warranty agreement for mazda vehicles, you'll notice that the paint is warrantied for 5 years. If it in fact is a manufacturing defect, it is covered for 5 years or xx,xxx miles. Check your warranty coverage again and you will see that.
