Question about performance with headers???

Are OBX headers any good for the RX8? I am trying to not go crazy on spending money.

which is better? or do you guys have any recommendations? I am planning on getting a Greddy SP2 exhaust with a turboXS pipe.

The performance gains aren't going to vary too much between the different brands. The motor is pretty much tuned out from the factory. What your paying for is quality. OBX, from experience, tends to crack. Can't speak much on the RX8, but have owned header from them for other cars. They don't last very long and tend to crack. I would opt to save a little longer and buy a good quality header. You get what you pay for.

^Try a whopping 1 HP! That's it! I did extensive research on this and that was all that could be gained. I have a brand new OBX header sitting in a box. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it.

As for OBX quality, this topic has been discussed time and again. It seems the consensus is that the quality has improved greatly over time. Both the OBX header and the cat-back exhaust I have are of good quality, with nice looking welds and seemingly good materials. I actually think my cat-back is impressive for the price, both in looks, sound, and performance. I am therefore not overly nervous about the quality of the OBX header, but exercise caution, since so many people are on the other side. I'm not denying the other brands may be better.

i've seen dynos where people lost a few hp after installing the obx header. buuutt, dyno runs tend to very a few hp run to run anyway. so it was kind of inconclusive except that obx headers dont do much.
