just got my rx8 yesterday, an 04 silver 6speed with 17k miles. now mine doesnt have many of the options, no sunroof, cloth interior, base stereo, no power seats ect. but when i bought the car it had no remote for it, my question is this, did all rx8's come with keyless entry or was that an option? i guess i assumed they did and thought i could just go to the dealer and get a new fob programed, but before i headed to the dealer i wanted to find out if they offered it without the keyless entry.


oh and im not new to rotaries, this will be my 3rd rx, my first was a 91 non turbo 2nd gen, the 2nd was a 93 r1 editon.

 

take some initiative and look at the different packages when you build your own rx8 at www.mazdausa.com

u should really research ur car before u buy it...
and to my knowledge they ALL came with keyless entry.

well i was 99% sure they had remotes, it was actually my friend who made the comment that he wasnt sure if they did and that since mine was more of a base model it might not have it that made me question if it didnt. but thanks for the quick answears, i appreciate it!

 

I just purchased one with a similar package, '04, silver, 9k miles, wish I had a better package, but I got a sweet deal. It does have a keyless entry remote too.
