If I were to buy a pair of xenon headlamps for my rx8 which came with the halogen, can I just disconnect the connectors and connect the xenon units and they work all the same? I am assuming they do since the ballast and all other essential pieces are built into the headlamp themselves....

 

xenon and halogen projectors have different focal points. The xenon's output would have hotspots.

While we are at it though, is there a way to just run the fog lamps? When it snows the xenons create a lot of glare.
