Question from the newbie

hi all,

just ordered my velocity red rx8 exclusive high power for janruary.
At present i drive a bmw 120d . Just a quick couple of questions that have probably been covered a million times already so im sorry.

What exactly is the starting and stopping procedure (to avoid flooding)?
I am from ireland so it is a euro car does this come with dual zone climate control or std ?

How many miles do i have to drive at low revs while running in the engine and at what revs?

Many thanks

Gearoid

the search function is your friend, but you're new. So I'll let it slide

To avoid flooding let the engine reach optimal temperature.
don't turn off when cold.

if you read your manual when you get it, there is no break in period, per say.

For break-in, the manual gives an idea of what to do. But if you want the expert's opinion:

the 5w20 oil recommendation is for the States, it's 5w30 in Europe I think.
