Quick ?: Does my 07 play MP3 CDs
It's the standard unit, non-Bose. It doesn't say MP3 anywhere on the face but just thought I'd ask before I burnt an MP3 CD.
Thanks

Seriously.. FML..
I just burned a CD today w/o even knowing if MP3's worked on my unit.. And guess what? It worked perfect. I didn't even think about it until I saw this thread.. I guess it does for me then..

CD burner programs can use mp3's as source files for burning "audio" CD's that can be played in any CD player. The resultant disk is not an mp3 disk...and you can tell this because even though the CD allows 800 MB of data to be written to it, it will only allow 80 MB or so of mp3's to be burned if you ask it to burn an audio CD. In other words 75 minutes of music. If you burned those same 80 MB as an mp3 disk it would not be recognized by the car player unless it was an mp3 player specifically.
Personally, I'm sick of juggling 100's of CDs so I'm getting an iPod and iPod hookup ASAP.

OH! hahaha. I see. So I guess Raptor75 and RotaryP7 are just a little confused as to what we mean by MP3 CD, right?
Or can you guys actually put 100 songs on one CD?

Why waste a CD when posting a question creates no waste... and chances are, someone provides an answer relatively quickly? Besides, forum = people ask questions.
