Raccoons will screw you up!

while cruising down the road my mom was leaving her boyfriends house in the rx8, she was about 1 mile from his house and a furry little fu*ker decides he likes the car so damn much he wants to get a better view (right in front of the car) yeah he ran back out into the road ( he had already ran accross the road once) well as u can guess she hit it....

Damage:
1 front accent piece
1 radiator
1 engine

turns out somehow the engine got screwed dunno how she said she watched the temp gauge for the 1 mile trip back to his house and it didnt get hot although antifreeze was leaking.... so its in the shop insurance is gonna pay for it they say its like 10K to fix.......

Don't get too close to a coon either! They are ferocious little animals, no kidding! I watched one tear up three of my friend's dad's hunting dogs once. Their faces were cut up pretty badly and that coon didn't have a scratch on 'em.

yup... they can be NASTY if they feel cornered and threatened.

Car manufacturers should mount lasers on the front facia to take care of these lil critters LOL.

no but seriously.... This may sound cruel but if you cant safely avoid them (because we all know how they like to play "chicken" with cars)... try to at least hit them with the tire and keep them out from between the tires where they can hit the underside of the engine... sure, if you hit it with your tire, you can mess up your alignment and screw up a control arm... but its better than damaging a part of your engine.

Haha...who knew the critters had a sense of taste too? I guess they're just a little more expressive when they don't like a car!

That sucks, I have two that live around my house, when I'm out with my telescope, they gather around me and eat catfood from the bowl next to where I sit. Even when I get up, they just look and go back to eating. I guess they are used to me by now.

I've never, and will never try to pet them.
