Racing Beat gauge panel kit for 2009-2010 RX8s
I emailed RB about a gauge kit for the 2009 RX8. They said they're still undecided if it's worth spending the development effort for a low demand item. So if you 2009-2010 owners are interested, e-mail RB and let them know.

I hope they end up making one for you guys, I know the RB gauge pod in my car is one of my favorite mods.
I don't think the pod sold as well as they would have liked for the Series I RX-8 and it did take quite a while for them to release the product so be patient but also recognize that there is a good chance they wont' release this so I'd look into other alternatives. (always good to have a "Plan B")

^^ there's a pretty good DIY for that around here somewhere.
invite a few forum members over, proride beer + pizza, 3 hours later you'll have gauges.

I think the price is quite fair considering it's a full plug / play kit. The pod itself is only about $100 if you want to buy it seperately.
Even if the oil filter weren't an issue, just look at the sales for the 2004 - 2008 model year sales and you can derive from that the low demand this product will have.

from that pic i cant see it, but you realize that gauge pod is only 6" deep. and who cares if you cover an inch or two of a speaker.
buuuuut, from the looks of it that gauge pod will not lie flat on a 2009 rx8. however, i bet lotek can make a gauge pod for a 2009 rx8 and guess how much it'll be? $45.

The way RB does their R&D is to find the optimum spring rate and height for driving both on the street and on the track... so if the perch height is different, it changes the COG and the balance than what they had designed the 04-08 springs for... will it make a difference if you use them? i have no idea, nor do i think i'd be able to tell... but i would prefer to have ones that were specifically designed for the car...

i think the spring perches are different heights. If you go with a full coilover, I believe that addresses the problem?

It's a full plug & play once you replace the OEM flimsy plastic oil pressure line with a nice stainless steel flex tube.
