Radio staying on ???
I have see this happen a few time the past couple of weeks. The radio will stay on long (1-2 minutes) after I turn off the car. Even after I pull out the key. One time I even got out of the car, shut the door, and the radio was still on. One time the radio was not on but the display stayed lit up and I could see two vertical red bars and the clock was on after I got out and shut the door. It does not happen everytime, just every now and then.
What he heck is going on????

Hey, I would like the option of being able to turn on the car stereo without using the car key. I used to have a car (I think it was my 94 BMW) that had this feature. Anybody knows a quick and dirty rewire?

I have noticed this too. Never thought much about it. It goes off after a certain amount of time (like within a minute) so it never worried me.
Reproducing it could be an issue since it's intermittent (and usually after a long drive).

do you have an amp and sub hooked up to it? for some reason, when i first wired up my amp the radio would do the same thing. but if you don't have that then you really ought to get it checked out. good luck with it.

There have been a lot of radio issues due to heat. Considering we've been running about 99-100 every day for the last couple of weeks, you might want to take it to Town North and have them take a look.
Don't take it to Eldorado. I'm NEVER doing business with them again.

Could be the heat... I have noticed it only started happening during really hot days.
What happen at Eldorado? I would hate to have to take it in to Dallas when Eldorado is right down the freeway.

Just by any strange coincidence..... Is the radiator fan running when this happens? Does the radio shut off when the radiator fan stops? Maybe they crossed a circuit. "Imp" mentioned it happens to him, intermittently, "usually after a long drive"
Just a thought.

Funny, I though about the same thing yesterday. I don't think thats always the case. Normally the fan always come home after I drive home from work, but the radio does it thing just ever now and then.
Yesterday I went to the store, got out, open the trunk to get some stuff out, close the trunk, then locked the doors. The radio was on the whole time and I could hear it still on as I was walking away.
