Radio Won't Turn On!

I was having problems with my RX8 starting for awhile. For some reason my battery connector wasn't really catching like it's supposed to and occasionally my car wouldn't get any power (lights, locks, anything) so i couldn't even crank it.

So while this happening in South Central LA (fml) and I was on the side of the road bending the battery connector so it could stay connected, it sparked, which is normal. But when I went back in my car the radio wouldn't turn on.

The AC still works, but there are no working lights, no sound, and the head unit display won't turn on, however the NAVI works.

I checked all my fuses, engine and inside, they're all good, and I pulled out the head unit to see if anything got disconnected, but thats good too. I read something about an Anti Theft Radio Code, but i heard thats for RX8s overseas, and i'm in California.

Anyone have any idea? I miss my music

Try pressing the big black circular button in the middle.

it's still your battery connector. I had an issue where mine got corroded and I still had a lot of functions but the radio wasn't working. once I replaced it and got the connection just right, it came back on. I'd disconnect and check to make sure that connection looks right knowing that you've had that issue in the past. if your fuses are okay, I couldn't imagine your radio is fried.

I'm thinking it's the battery connector or you blew a fuse.
I know you said you checked them but maybe you missed one?

I know. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask them what they were going to charge and expected them to want to completely hose me but when it was that low and a universal one at AutoZone is about $8 I went with the dealer's. They had to order it so I think I paid an extra $6 to expedite it rather than 5-7 business days (which they wouldn't have charged for) and was worth the extra.

you probably already grabbed it from the other thread but they needed the part # since they couldn't figure out which one it was exactly. it's part #F151-67-TB1

Check all the wires and fuses this weekend, everything is good. Anyone have any idea what this can be? Maybe the anti theft thing? Or do you think its internal radio damage? Any help would be nice.
