Ran The 8 With The E-Brakes Engaged....
#26
I ran through an autocross course with my e-brake partially engaged once... well I ran halfway through the course. Then my hand bumped something while I was shifting, I fixed it, and I put down a moderately decent time.

Maybe I am ignorant, but how the hell do you drive your car with the parking brake engaged? Do you guys not "fully engage" the parking brake? The point of the parking brake it to keep the car from rolling. If you can drive the car with little to know noticable effect, then you did not have the brake up far enough.
I guess I always engage it to the point that the car does not want to go anywhere and I notice IMMEDIATELY if it is on/engaged.
I can honestly say in the 18+ cars that I have owned in my ~10 yrs of driving, I have never driven a car with the parking brake on.

Anything other than the headlight , light being on puts me in a worrie mode, i check that before i even put it in first - cant say that i have ever done that either im too worried about other stuff breaking - i cant be breaking other stuff on my own

Wait a minute.............you mean that handle between the seats is an e-brake.. Fing dealer told me that pulling that handle engages the warp drive that enables me to beat WRX's, Lancer's, Stangs and the like in a straight line not just on curves.
Man I better be able to shot laser beams from my head lights like the dealer said or I'm really gonna be PO'd

That was the reason why I would never want to engage the emergency brakes. I would always park the vehicle in first gear without emergency brakes. But with a rotary engine you have no choice but to use emergency brakes
On flat surfaces you can just park the car in gear without using E-brakes. But I dont think its a good idea.
