I ran through an autocross course with my e-brake partially engaged once... well I ran halfway through the course. Then my hand bumped something while I was shifting, I fixed it, and I put down a moderately decent time.

you'll be fine, just put some unnecessary wear on the pads and rotors.

I don't think the two minutes did as much damage as 1 high speed panic stop from triple digits (on the track of course) would do.

Maybe I am ignorant, but how the hell do you drive your car with the parking brake engaged? Do you guys not "fully engage" the parking brake? The point of the parking brake it to keep the car from rolling. If you can drive the car with little to know noticable effect, then you did not have the brake up far enough.

I guess I always engage it to the point that the car does not want to go anywhere and I notice IMMEDIATELY if it is on/engaged.

I can honestly say in the 18+ cars that I have owned in my ~10 yrs of driving, I have never driven a car with the parking brake on.

laser beam button is located in the glovebox. Don't believe the manual, that doesn't actually lock the trunk.

ok dumb ? here....whats the difference in the engine type when using an E-brake. Rarely do I use mine even parking on a hill. I turn the wheels, and drop her into first gear.

I've started to take off with the ebrake engaged a couple times. I'll usually have it figured out as soon as I'm on the throttle and the car isn't moving.
