NY random question

so im a new rx8 driver really in to the car about to make many modifications i have a whole list of parts to buy but im stuck on something, can anyone tell me the name of this part, its the gray part that comes on the rear bumper lower part surrounding the muffler tips i want to order a new one and im interested in knowing if i can puchase it in stainless steal black or in carbon fiber material .

I believe you are talking about the exhaust shrouds. There is one at each tip. Pics would be helpful.

From: 12 o'clock on the Beltway.
Um, the black part of the rear bumper cover is integrated into the painted part of the bumper cover. You cant take the black part off except for the areas directly around the exhaust tips.

But being that you are "really in to" the car, you know that already...

Ya i am thinking you dont have the MS skirt so you are just talking about the shrouds and the part inbetween the shrouds... You cannot take that part in between off, however i have seen some people paint those or do various things with them.

Not sure whom your talking to. I was just trying to help the OP out. I never once said the bottom portion (the skirt) of the bumper came off. I simply supplied a link for what he was looking for. Based on the price most people would quickly realize that it was the price for the rear bumper cover and skirt complete.

I dont think he made any reference to your post, in the OP he said im really into the car or something like that and that is what he was reffering to.
