whitlow, just a heads up (since you are creating alot of threads about searchable questions), there is no mazdaspeed edition. There is a mazdaspeed body kit, and several mazdaspeed items (shift ****, etc) but no such thing as a rare mazdaspeed edition.

Sorry for posting too many post! I did a search on mazdaspeed and did not have much luck. I don't mean to waste anyone's time.
The owner said it had a factory body kit and was fully loaded and had al MazdaSpeed options what ever that is? Again Sorry

Yes, this is Wiki, and yes it could still be complete BS. But I haven't found anything to the contrary:

Mazdaspeed Version

After initial launch in 2003, Mazda released a limited run of RX-8 dubbed "Mazdaspeed Version" boasting various Mazdaspeed accessories as well as a slightly tuned ECU. This special edition was available in Strato Blue Mica or Sunlight Silver. Only 300 were produced. In 2004, Mazda followed up with a "Mazdaspeed Version II," this time available only in Strato Blue and with slightly up-rated equipment. Only 300 were produced as before.
Of course in the same article:
Mazdaspeed, Mazda's in-house tuning and high-performance arm, has produced various after-sale parts and accessories for the RX-8, including full body kits, suspension upgrades, engine upgrades (such as cold air intake kit and catback exhausts), and various interior accessories. In addition, Mazdaspeed has also produced several series of showroom-ready limited-production RX-8s in Japan featuring some of these parts and accessories. To date, however, there has not yet been a full Mazdaspeed-tuned RX-8 along the same line as the Mazdaspeed6 or Mazdaspeed3.

I don't believe Strato Blue was available in the US at that time.

If it was a 2005 it make be a special edition Shinka. It will have Shinka stickers in the B-Pillar if it is and probably be Black Cherry Mica. Can't remember if the Red Copper Shinka was 05 or later.

They did put out a special edition with the MS parts in Japan. RX-8 Type something (R? S?). But it never made it to the states and AFAIK no one ever imported one. Needless to say it'd fetch a crapload if it was up for sale.

There indeed existed a rare Mazdaspeed RX-8, but it was so fast that it went back to the future, disappearing from our current time-continuum.

Thanks RIWWP this is a white 05 and I will be checking into it more and if it turns out to be the real deal I'll let you know. I'm getting the vin and calling MazdaUSA also. they seem to be very good in helping and supping info. The guy I talk to there gave me his EX and told me he would help in any way he can. It is a toll free number and he had no problems talking to me for a good 1/2 hr yesterday. I kind of feel with me being new to the RX8 and this site maybe I'm not welcome until I know as much as other. I'm a member of several site VTX, Corvette, HD and have learned so much through them. I have never been told I was posting to much. Thanks everyone that has posted and answered me so far and helped I will not waste any more of this forums time. Nice o be here while it lasted.

There is no reference to it there, but I am fairly sure that the MS version I quoted above was never available in the US. Either just Japan or Japan/UK.

you don't get out much do ya...
It's called humor, you should look into it.

seirously though, you've been on here since '03, you should know that we've answered this question about ohh.... I don't know... a BILLION times by now?!
a simple look at www.mazdausa.com would have answered his question.

Just trying to have a little fun (and educate) members.
I even refrained from using my famous "Search" gif.

It's all in context. If you look over his posts, you get a sense of a lack of internet know-how, rather than a lack of maturity. That and his first post (not this thread) did note he was 50 (i.e., not a ricer too-fast-too-furryous kid), and worked at a Mazda dealership helps temper down the flames.

Yes I'm 50 but I have been on the internet for many years and have been a member of like I said several forums And have thousands of post I have learned a lot and helped a lot of people with things I DO HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT! I post regular on most of the post I'm a member of. Corvette and VTX sites. I have seen many who like to bash people and put them down I just have never been like that. I feel the forums are for HELP and INFO and to meet and make good friend. I attended a gathering VTX that had over 250 bikes just from the forum there people who became friends and some like family. Anyhow so much for that you can tke this anyway you want. I THANKS those of you that have helped with info very much. Just here to state what I found out about the MAZADSPEED RX8 I went to look at. It was bought in FL where the dealer told him the factory built it and sent it to the dealership to use as a show car for there parts. On the bill of sale it states MadzaSpeed Special Edition. It is a Pearl White with every option but the Nav. MadzaSpeed Body Kit, MadzaSpeed rear spoiler a adjustable type, MadzaSpeed Ractive exhaust, MadzaSpeed suspenison package, it looks like a different type air box, it has a different type (black/chrome vetnts in the front fenders, a different gas door, it has a emblem over the RX8 on the trunk that says MADZASPEED. ONE BEAUTIFUL RX8!!! It sold for just under $38,000.00. I will continue to visit the forum and try to learn from peoples post and I have NO problems with anyone here. I just must be a old fart that does not fit in! As far as the search this forum is like all the others I am a member of it sucks just my two cents. And I guess someone will bash me for that comment also. Anyhow have a great day you all!

It looks like this but different gas door and vent in the front fender behind the wheel.

The dealer can call it whatever they want...but there were only "Mazdaspeed" versions for sale overseas. I know of some dealerships around that have had these cars modded with the MS body parts and call it a MS version, it's not, it's just regular one with MS parts on it that's all. It would be cool to get one from the dealer that way than spend the extra money doing the MS parts buy to get it that way out of pocket.

And just because your 50 has nothing to with it, there are plenty of guys hear older than you and take things far less out of context. And to be a true MS vehicle, history would tell a Mazda enthusiast, the car should come with some kinda of turbo mod.

Your post count is now 12. Since you've had some discussion in your threads, I fail to see how you anyone can think you're starting too many. Hope this '05 works out. Pretty cool digging into the history of a particular car.

This is a good site with a lot of knowledgable people. I think there are a few who view themselves as fraternity pledgemasters, but they add to the fun.

Have you always had interesting cars? I started off driving with an interesting car (Alfa roadster), but after getting married I had to drop down to practical cars (VW...Honda...). My 8, bought three years ago at the age of 61, was a return to sanity. The communty here has added to the enjoyment.

Didn't the Mazdaspeed RX8 have 1002 HP and go 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. They call it the Bugatti Veyron killer.

Well seriously, there is no Mazdaspeed RX-8 in United States market. it exist ONLY in Japan, it has special ECU tweak which god knows what it is, full Mazdaspeed Body kit (including mirrors!), front, rear and under brace.
