Rather bittersweet...
Hey guys,
I've come to a rather bittersweet realization through the course of my college admissions season.
I will not be getting an rx-8 for at least the next few years for the simple reason that I'll be attending Berkeley - where parking is INSANE, and the BART system is amazing, and the education is second to none (especially for engineering).
I've picked up a ton of tips/advice from this forum, but will probably not return for some time. I will, however, continue to offer daily sacrifices to the rotary god
Again, thank you to everyone who ever helped me out, or those whose threads I mysteriously prowled around in - you have helped me grow as an individual - as well as as a consumer
Onward to college!

The RX-8 is really not a practical car for a college student. Especially in Berkeley. I went there from 92-96.
Realistically, get something cheap that you don't really care about because it will subjected to a lot of abuse. Parking sucks so be prepared for scratched and dinged bumpers. Also, there are a lot of trees which you'll have to park under. Sap is not your friend.
Get a hatchback, because you'll want something that will be able to haul stuff too. You'll make a lot of friends that way. But whatever you do, DO NOT GET A TRUCK. You'll have people calling all the time to move stuff.
GO BEARS!
