Re-intro: RIP Velocity Red, Hello Brilliant Black :D
So long story short my car got totaled back in January, I was spun into a guard rail on my way to work one morning, and the person that hit me just kept on driving, but what are you gonna do people are a**holes.
I pretty much knew immediately that I wanted another RX-8, I just loved the car. A little while after the accident I texted a friend of mine Chris(RWD+LSD=Zoom) and his response was basically "Wow that sucks, here buy this one" and he sent me a link to a FS Thread on here lol. So, that's pretty much what I did, I looked around every where for RX-8's found a couple of nice ones that I considered buying, but always ended up going back to this one. I'm sure a lot of you already know this car it was Christine's 8 from Chicago(Kuro), everything about this car was immaculate and I loved all the mods she had already done. So after a ton of emails, phone calls, and text messages and getting everything worked out with my bank, I bought the car and had it shipped down to Tampa.
Edit: Just want to add a quick thank you, Thanks to Christine for everything you did throughout the sale of the car, I know you still have some parts you may be looking to sell on here, so any buyers on here do not hesitate to buy from her she's great to deal with and answered every question I had and trust me there were a LOT of them. And Thanks to Chris for helping me out with everything, like getting everything off my old 8 and basically finding this one for me lol.
Time for some Pics :D
The Wreck
The only aftermarket part I could take with me lol, Luckly my insurance company towed the car to my house and let me take all the aftermarket parts off the car before they took it, so that means I'll have a few parts for sale.
I'll post the link here when I get the FS thread up.
The new 8 getting loaded on the truck to be shipped down to Tampa
When the car got here it was filthy from the trip down on an open trailer. You can't really see it too much in the pics, but it definitely was.
The first wash, the day I got it, it was so dirty I didn't want to wash it by hand just because it probably would have scratched the crap out of the paint
The second wash, still the same day I got it, but hand washed this time over Chris' house haha
Washed Again, Polished and Waxed, I think this was only the 3rd day I had the car
Just a couple random cell phone pics
The 8 was polished and waxed for a second time, about two weeks ago, so now it's time for some good pics, Taken with my Canon T1i...
Pics from 3/19/11 at the Dupont Registry in St. Petersburg, FL...
Just a couple pics in my drive way...
I'm sure someone is going to ask so here is a list of all the mods done to the car:

Mazdaspeed Sideskirts
Mazdaspeed Rear Underspoiler
Tanabe Sustec Pro Five Coilovers
AFE Short Shifter

Work Emotion 11r Glim Silver 18×9.5 +30
Falken FK-452 255/40/18
MXP Purple Lug Nuts
10mm Project Kics Spacers (Rear)
Slotted Drilled Rotors(from RX7Store.com)
Hawk HPS Brake Pads
Stainless Steel Brake Lines
LEDs all around
Kenwood DNX-6140
Metra Kit
PAC SWI-JACK
Backup Camera
Infinity 1300a amp
Two Infinity Reference 1052w 4-ohm 10″ Subs
Zenclosures Sub box
2009 Seat Covers
Blacked Out Emblems
35% Tint
6000K HID Headlights
PIAA Yellow Fogs
Eyelids
Lamin-x Yellow Fog light Vinyl
Since I got the car I installed my Progress Tech Sways, Evo-R Endlinks, Voodoo Shift ****, Changed to Redline Fluids for Transmission and Rear Diff, Changed Oil, Reprogrammed Steering Wheel controls(Volume wasn't working),
Polished the throttle body(It was just dull from the corrosion so I decided to clean it up)
I also got an alignment, but the car is too low for the stock adjustments so I need to get a camber kit to properly adjust the rear, I'm getting a lot of negative camber wear on the tires, see the results of my alignment below...
Anyone more knowledgeable in this area please feel free to comment, for you guys out there that are lowered this much what are you camber specs? Do these specs seem to be the maximum positive camber possible for the stock adjustments?
Glad to still be a part of RX-8 Club after that accident

Thanks for all the compliments everyone....
Takes time but the result is worth it, there are some rock chips here and there that I need to get around to fixing though,
Yup, that was me, I originally contacted her like a day or two after she posted her FS thread it just took some time to get the deal to go through.
Yea I like them and the lugs too, I'm still debating on changing the color, I like the contrast of the purple though.
I've been considering it, I've starting doing the research and it will probably be some time before it happens, I think there are definitely some reliability mods that need to be done first before going FI.
It's really nice; she did a great job with that too, the covers fit tight like they should and I even prefer the material of these seats over the original.
And yet another stupid and pointless post from Monchie, not surprising though I haven't seen you make any post that was of any value since you joined the forum.

Monchie, you are pathetic.
Anyways, glad to see that you got back into the game right away. I would do the same without a doubt if I were in the same position (knock on wood). Congrats on the purchase.

ballin!
hey man, glad I could help this transaction go so smooth
lots of beer and some of the fastest demodding I have ever seen (taking off mods from the wrecked 8). Along with the best intuative spring loading ever
So in order to maintain the nicest rx8 in tampa I was forced to go turbo I am just scared that Kyle will do it soon too
Again, Sweet ride broski

There's a lot of good info out there and so many different products and techniques you can use... I'm far from a professional, but if you take your time you can get a pretty damn good result.

Yeah now that whole turbo thing hmmm... I'm looking into it lol
What do you guys think of the alignments specs I posted at the bottom of my first post? Does this seem like it's setup with the most positive camber possible using the stock adjustments?
And why are the camber settings so different from left to right? Is this normal or is the shop that did my alignment not doing something right?
Any advice would be great, Thanks
