The real shame about the MPG issue...

The real shame about the MPG issue, in my opinion, is that besides that, I consider this a perfect car! It has the outside looks, the inside look and feel, the great drive (I don't care about the HP, especially since I don't have a dyno in my garage)...

but then I see the gas needle drop a notch every time I rev past 5K, and my smile turns into a nervous frown.

Isn't there ANYTHING at all that we can figure out to fix this?!? My brother said maybe a high-quality air filter could boost it by 2MPG.

Anything else? C'mon, all you mechanical geniuses out there!

Any examples of what other cars are getting? I just checked out a 350Z board where people were claiming 18-27, actual MPGs.

I do know that the new H2 Hummer gets 8mpg.

C'mon guys, can't we stay on topic for even one or two posts. Let's get back to the question, to wit: "Isn't there ANYTHING at all that we can figure out to fix this?!?"
