Rear Ended....WTF!!

Yes it has happened again to another mazda rx-8....It's like a crime spree....

So heres the story i was on my way to work on the 5 freeway towards LA and traffic started to slow down because of freeway construction i was behind a big rig when all of a sudden a 1995 white civic hits me from behind at 40-50 mph.... we pull of the freeway to exchange information....i when to the back of my car and my bumper was damaged pretty badly not to bad though...So i walk in front of his car OMFG that **** was totaled.....I was thinking how could his car be that badly damaged when my rear just had A medium size dent and some scratches also my exhaust was bent....?

GOOD NEWS: instead of replacing bumper with oem im going to order the mazdaspeed bumper and mazdaspeed exhaust......

Ill post some pics later

The mazdaspeed bumper is only a diffuser, it doesnt replaces the whole bumper.

Sorry about the accident -- glad you're okay... I think the Civic got you because of your user name.

I got rear ended in my 8 about two months ago. My first thought was "how the hell do you hit a lightning yellow RX8 from behind on a sunny morning without traffic or slowing down?" Stupid biatch said she fell asleep. I cut her slack that day but now I find out that the police officer did not cite her for driving uninsured and I may have to come out $500 for my deductible unless I want to waste my valuable time and her fricking Walmart time at small claims court. What do I pay taxes for if laws are not being enforced? Much more about that but I can't say political things here anymore. Here's the real kicker, I'm pretty sure the cell phone she used was one of those blackberry things, since it had a whole keyboard on it. She was probably talking smack on it when she rear ended me. WTF are you doing working nightshift at Walmart if you have one of those. A lot of, not all, poor people are poor due to stupidity and bad choices in life, that's my conclusion.

Whoa Xtasy....you're going to give yourself a heart attack.

Sorry to hear about getting rear ended but unfortunately we've got LOTS of stupid drivers down here in SoCal.

Okay, back to getting rear ended by a civic: Where's the pics??

sorry to hear...people are morons. I was rear ended at a stop light a month ago. (this was the second time). Woman said her foot got caught in the floormat. Whatever. Very little damage but the bumper needs to be replaced. At least she was nice and had insurance.

If you can believe it, i've been rear ended 6 times since 2001 (3 different cars). Each time I was fully stopped. Unreal.

Traffic near L.A. is hell. You're like the 2nd or 3rd person I've heard about getting rear ended on a L.A. freeway. People out there like to drive 90mph and then grind to a stop in a few seconds. I've almost been rear ended or gotten rear ended in L.A several times.
