Recal Poll for Engine
#127
Long time, no post.. Just got my 8 back from recall. No engine needed. Here's what they did:
4 new plugs, new battery, new starter, replaced front brake pads and rotated roters, washed and full tank of gas.
They gave me a Jeep Liberty loaner. BUT, I actually test drove a CX-7 while there. VERY nice. Actually had me thinking about a trade; but then I drove the 8 and that thought went away!

Had the recall service done yesterday. Got the flash and sparkplugs. I also mentioned that the car wouldnt start one morning and they also gave me a new battery and starter. The car definitely starts quicker now. Also seems to have a little more pep at the low end and is somewhat smoother. In addition to the carwash and gas fill up, it looks like they also cleaned and vacuumed the interior. No complaints w/ my dealer.

As posted in another recall post:
Recall performed this week. Dealer followed their instructions form Mazda. Due to prior documented power loss, replacement engine was ordered and immediately kicked back by Mazda. Apparently, they've had several motors returned to them that checked out fine. Mine would have ben one of them, as they ran it through the drivability tests, which Mazda said the results were fine.
No wash, no fuel added, no CX-7. Got a loaner Mazda 3, though.

I severely miss my Liberty Renegade 4x4 in the Michigan winter, and given the shitty *** Michigan roads.
I loved that vehicle.

Just took mine in Yesterday and got the bad news today. They said that the BARO voltage was out of range. The new engine is already approved and on order. If am lucky they should have the engine in by next week.
I got a B4000 V6 4x4 as a loaner. They said that they were out of loaner cars and started in on the trucks.
