Recall Done And.............

Okay so i finally had my recall done a word of caution.....when it comes to the dealer try not to bring in ur 8 if not necessary, hahahaha these people have no idea what they are doing. So here is my dealer story. I bring in my car for a 4206F recall and the gas cap recall and i tell them don't wash my car, mentioned it like 4 times . The car is back gas cap replaced car washed with two dents i freaked out .......no recall done they forgot OMG..........So i freak out at the poor guy well not so poor he thought he knows it all hahahaha ......so they had to fix my dents for free massage them out i was surprised how well it looked after the job was done. They recalled the car but now here is the thing on the print out it says 206S recall not 4206f I am in Canada so is it a different code???They did change two spark plugs but now i am worried if they applied the right PCM flash damn u never know with these people.......hope someone can help out Btw the car feels a bit different like the engine runs smoother and idles better very smooth but when u rev it in second and thrid full power it dounds more like a bike now with a metallic sound two it at the begging when u climb into higher revs i had my windows open too so u can hear it better

Where did you have the work done?
I think that mine was 4206F but I'll check the papers when I get home.

4206F includes: PCM reflash, change plugs and starter motor. It's a few hours job. Bringing mine in tomorrow. I'm almost leery as the car right now drives great and am afraid that upon post-recall work, it might not.

The sound you hear might be the Rotary-ping. Are you using reg-87 or prem ?
You have a new PCM load and it might be asking for prem-fuel.

okay i use the best fural there is in canada they have a sunoco which gets u the 94 octane the highest we get here is 91 but sunoco gives 94 costs more but thats all i use so i test drove it again with windows open seems like there is a bit of loss of power in around 7000rpms doesnt kick in anymore as it use to and the engine is much smoother in 3rd gear when u start to accelerate u hear a metalic shhhhhhhhh sound and then it goes away same in for then driving on the highway windows close when going around 100km/60miles and letting go of the gas pedal in gear u begin to hear a shhhhh sound again metalic damn is this normal from what i understand the engine recieves more oil after the 4206f recall and less fuel thats why ther is a power loss???if so dont get the recall
