Recommendations For Custom Street / Track Muffler
Hey 8Club!
I'm seeking assistance with selecting a universal muffler suitable for both street and occasional HPDE usage.
It will be installed with oem cat and I'd prefer to keep sound levels below 92 dB but can accept up to 103 dB limit if necessary.
Is this a good place to seek advise or should I join GRM and pose my question there?
Thanks in advance!

Honestly I have no idea how this thing even works or what it truly is besides it being a "muffler." It almost seems like you tell them what the required dB rating is, and they design it to meet that demand?

Well after some thought, it occurred to me to check out what Mazdatrix has to offer. It looks like they have a couple Racing Beat mufflers that will potentially fit the bill. Just have to decide if the 3.0" or 3.5" is most appropriate. Hoping to find a muffler shop that can vband all my exhaust components. I will say that it's disappointing RB or MT do not include any technical info related to these products (ie: real life tests under specific conditions, etc).

ps- original plan with my old shop was to fit a Tomei universal Ti muffler but same issue with no technical info so I figure it's best to opt for the rotary specific shop products.

A kind member of GRM chimed in and recommended the product below. I suppose now it's time to make a decision. Wish me luck!

I was looking at single exit custom exhaust, again... I had AES racing mufflers on sight. Can't find international distribution anymore.
And I bumped into this thing from magnaflow. Looks interesting on paper.

Got a recommendation for Spintech mufflers. Lots to choose from and I think they have everything you could ever need for putting a motorsports grade exhaust together.

ps - also discovered TiCon from an LHT vid on YT. I would seriously consider shipping my vehicle out to have a rotary system fabricated as I don't have access to any master welders or performance shops. Potentially in the future as it is totally worth it to me for the weight reduction.

I always wanted to try this one
https://xforceusa.com/products/vmkre-325-2/
which you can electronically bypass the main muffler for a more direct sound/flow to the tips
https://xforceusa.com/varex-smart-box/
going to take some fabrication though …

Magnaflow High Flow Cat life expectancy
Anyone else using a Magnaflow High Flow Cat setup from Pettit Racing? I have one and am very pleased with the sound and performance combined with a Sohn Adapter and BennettBuilt coils.
I also have a Beautiful and awesome RB Race Pipe with 2 silencers, but the fumes are obnoxious on cold starts, so I want to go back to the Cat for street.
Just wondering what others with High Flow Cats are getting for lifespan expectancy...
