Replaced clutch about a year ago
#2
you replaced the clutch itself a year ago or the pedal?
sounds to me like two separate issues if I'm reading this correctly.
Our clutch pedals are known to squeak, even my reinforced pedal squeaks a bit.
If your pedal has never been replaced, I suggest you inspect it for signs of flexing as the welds on it can break and users have reported squeaking before that happens.
Mazda recently sent letters to all owners regarding this issue.

the letter refers strictly to the clutch pedal. I doubt changing the clutch last year created the squeak you are not experiencing or it most likely would have surfaced sooner.
You can try and go to a dealership now but to be honest...they probably won't do much unless the pedal is already broken. It's stupid, I know but if it's only squeaking they might just adjust it, add some grease, and then charge your an insane amount for something so basic.
Do a quick search for clutch pedal, (search thread titles), look for a thread by NYCGPS and in the first few pages there are a few very good pictures that show you where our pedals have been known to fail. If you're feeling up to it, grab a flashlight and inspect yours just to make sure it isn't more then just a squeak because a broken clutch pedal (while you're driving) is NOT fun.
