Resale Value?

Unfortunately, I have gone under some seriously bad financial times and am gonna have to sell the 8. I wanted to get some opinions on how much the car is worth, resell and trade in.

2k4
Owned for 6 months
12k (95% highway mileage)
Manual
Grand Touring Package (Think that is the name, most $ one)
DVD Nav

Mint condition.

I am trying to get a good estimate before I walk into a dealer.

Thanks for the help!

Not sure on the resale value but as a starter you need to realize if you bought your car now you would be able to get it brand new at invoice or possibly below.

Buckeye3d, do u mean that now the prices have gone down some? If so, I agree I got one hell of a deal on mine and paid about $29k for it. I am hopin to get $26.5k for it now....I was curious if anyone knows how much they would expect should they be walking into a dealership.

Thanks for the help.

People are now paying about invoice for the '04s.

Cars are bad investments... depreciation and all that.

Good luck!

Yeah I'm saying that prices for new RX8s have gone down. With very little negotiating most can get new 8's at invoice. I got the impression from reading these forums that those that bought when the 8 was a newer model paid closer to MSRP. If your car is in as good as shape as you say $26,500 in a private party deal sounds realistic. If you are expecting to sell to a dealer or trade-in expect to get lowballed bigtime.
