Hi, i aways rev around 8k in every gear , well i was just wondering is it bad for my 2 month old car?
the oil gauge doesn't move at all is it normal? i check the oil dipstick it seems tat i need to add little oil, yes and i did.

 

as long as ur car has over 1000miles on it.... then rev as much as u like.... if ur car has less then 1000miles on it.... then lets hope ur car will last....

 

How many miles do you have on the odo? Did you buy the car new? You should follow the owners manual or racing beat's engine break in procedure before you work the engine and tranny that hard. Be sure that the engine has been properly warmed up before you take it into the higher revs. Yes, it is normal for the oil pressure gauge not to move much; just check the oil level at every other gas fill up.

 

why the heck do u need to rev to 8000 ? so on local u only go up to 2nd gear?

 

05 around 3000km now, maybe i'm crazy driving tat high hehe but is fun u know, yeah normal roads in vancouver.

You are not crazy and the rotary begs to be driven throughout the rpm range. I wouldn't cruise around 6000 rpms either unless you are doing auto-x or are in a twisties situation for a short time.

 

Just make sure u have oil and the dont' rev it so high while ur oil is still cold. The stock oil gauge is useless so don't relay on that.
