Im back.
ok, here is what i was going through.
after the install, the car was running like butter, perfect in every way. but I had no BOV, so it was damaging my turbo. So I went to the shop to get the Greddy Type-Rs BOV installed. it was working fine, but in between gears, when it would blow off, it would release all the air that the e-man was expecting, therefore, it was shooting out more gas than needed and i would tug real hard between gears. Whatever, by the end of the night, i was starting to get used to it, but the car would tug back and fourth sometimes between gears. God, so Annoying. so I went back to the shop just now (Yimi Sports - Santa Clarita, CA) and I told them what was up. to begin with, one of the problems was....... they had forgot to plug one of the hoses back into the trottle body, haha (I caught That). then they adjusted the spring on the BOV, hard, soft, nothing
the RPM would be fine, but when i would rev, the RPM would climb up, then when i released, it would drop to 0RPM then come back up to 1k RPM. it wouldnt turn off though. So I took it for a test drive...... and It turned off everytime i stopped.
The mechanic was thinking about what to do for a while. and as Tri-point had told me, I HAD to go with a recirculating BOV because thats how the Rx-8s work. so I got a recirculating ad-on for the Greddy BOV. but I didnt want to recirculate.
after a while of not figuring it out...... the Mechanic said....... so you dont want to go HKS, right?
I said, "WTF? Why not?"
he said, "I thought you wanted it all Greddy"
I said, "dude, i want it to WORK"
so he slapped on the HKS BOV. took it for a drive. ALL the problems were fixed. It was running 100% solid. Boost was stronger, and more responsive to the throttle.
NOTE: GREDDY BOV SUCKS ON THE GREDDY KIT!!
So yeah. there you have it. I paid $20 more, got my HKS installed, and im all set.
I'll be posting pics up as soon as I get my hands on a camera.
Thanks Jun for helping out.
p.s. the HSK BOV is more high pitched and has a bit of a rattle sound to it. Its WAY Hotter than the GReddy.

I wanna see and hear this turbo in person, congrats Romeo!

Chino hills?
I sometimes go up there to shoot some films.
I'll be sure to message you next time I go up there.
There was an 8 on the FWY today, on the way back to work from lunch (118 West) It was silver, dealer plates, and drove next to me to pass me
i pulled up next to him to say whats up, but he looked like a dick, didnt even look over at me, so I "Blew" him off, haha. Its so awsome. Ive driven turbo's before, but 10k RPM on turbo is hot. haha
