What's goin on. Been following the forums for a while, and I decided to get myself an 8. I'm 18, savin up my paychecks until I can put down a down payment in September 2006 (hopefully) on a black 6speed gt rx8. Hoping to find a used one to fit the bill, and if I don't i'll go ahead and buy whatever is available. Will be usin the car for work and daily drivin. i'm lookin to keep the 8 for at least 8-10 years. However I have an addiction to the spooling whistle of turbos, so 8 years might be pushin it, i don't know. besides puttin in a turbo, the rest of my plans are superficial - especially the hymee exhaust

how are the turbos lookin now? I live in CA and don't plan on moving out soon. I've read all the rundowns of the different turbochargers available for the 8 and i'm worried that my hopes and dreams will get stomped on by the state's strict smog tests. anyone in the CA area have experience with this situation?

just sayin hello. lovin the forums so far.

I have a VR '05 6 Speed M/T and i have a GReddy Turbo Kit with Boost Control, and i haven't had any problems yet ::knocking on wood::...... The main thing you need to worry about is Mazda voiding your warranty. If your turbo screws up your engine, say bye bye to your warranty, and the your car because your gonna have to pay for a new engine out of your pocket. I think its worth it though, its fast as hell... Good luck
