Rotarywerks D585 PnP Coil upgrade

Why go with something unproven and take the risk? If you want an ignition kit go with the proven BHR kit. Black Halo Racing
If not just get quality OEM coils from mazmart.com or aftermarket replacements from a parts store with a warranty.

What am I making a big deal about? If you think all the kits are the same then you need to educate yourself. That is like saying the aftermarket Ebay OEM style coils are the same as the OEM Mazda Version C coils. Not to mention that the skill and materials that went into making the wiring harness matters as well.
I am not saying the rotarywerks kit sucks, I am just saying its reliability is unknown so the kit could be a quality kit or it could be crap. The bracket alone screams Ebay RX-8 ignition kit to me. Either way it's my opinion and what the OP is asking for.

It looks fine, if the coils are legit d585, my only concern would be the plastic looking bracket adaptor. That thing is pretty sketch.

It's hard to see, but it is the black wire beneath the second connector in the picture. I'd assume they're all bent from each 4 pin connector and terminated at a single ring connector.

But what brand of D585 coil is legit and what brand of D585 are these coils?

Rotary Werks, you are dancing awefully close to the "advertising your product" violation line. Please refrain from posting in this thread.
The OP is soliciting comments from other members, not from the product vendor. You have customers with it, including ones in this thread. Let them refute or clarify any misconceptions. It probably rankles a bit that BHR is in the thread, as they have a direct product competing with this, but they are a paying vendor and have the right to promote their product here, as well as point out the differences. If you re-subscribe as a vendor, you will be permitted to do so as well.

I have no idea what happened in here since i last chimed in, this whole thread seems to be a mess. Let me comment a few things if i may to hopefully clear things up (even though i dont know what questions are up in the air with this mess)
1) each coil has its respective ground wire that meet together to a ring ground terminal that you can bolt to the engine. I cannot get a clear picture of this as its currently on my car. essentially looks like the following with the 0 being the grounding terminal and c being each coil.
---0
---/\
-/\-/\
c-c-c-c
2) the bracket is metal and powder coated.

Just take a look at the lacking details in the Rotarywerks ignition "system";
1) The necessary spark plug wires are not included and they need a special terminal for use with an genuine D-585 application.
2) The conversion harness does not appear to have any kind of insulation or tubing over the wires, thus increasing the chances of chafing, abrasion, and short-circuits.
3) Even the promotional pictures are unprofessionally staged.
Is THIS the kind of detail work for which people want to pay even a mere $350?
Are these guys willing or able to provide warranty coverage in the event of coil failure?
Does Rotarywerks specialize in the RX-8 and do they have the experience with the platform to help with other issues often associated with failed OEM coils? RX-7s and RX-8s are vastly different platforms.
Just some things for people to consider when deciding where to spend their money.

To answer your questions.
Yes he owns a shop, he does legit work and builds on rx7, rx8's and basically anything with a rotary engine. He could be consider the go to tuner here in Miami for rotarys. Has done plenty rx8s mine including.
