Run Flats?

The C6 with the Z51 package has GoodYear Eagle F1 Supercar 248/40/18. They handle every bit as well as the Factory tires on the RX-8. They are also quiet. I plan on switching to them with my next change.
They are much better than the EMTs on the C5 which handled poorly and were loud.

I'll be running run flat Dunlops in the winter. I'll take performance over the utility to 'run flat' in the summer but in the winter I don't want to be calling roadside assistance, using the tire sealant, or freezing my *** off on the side of a single lane mountain road on my way snowboarding.
I used to run the 17'' Euphoria Pirelli Run flats on my Protege5 and they did very well. I even autocrossed with them 3 times. Good traction, reliable, and durable. They were a bit heavy though but I rarely ever have complained about road noise from the run flats.
In a city like New York run flats make sense. Lots of road hazards, pot holes, not shoulders on the highways...etc...

Run Flat Tires are SO heavy. Expect worse gas mileage and a more uncomfortable ride. Remeber, as the tire spins, it acts heavier to the car.
Not to mention getting them mounted is much more expensive in most cases.
I opted for the spare option. I would recommend the same.
