Rx-8 (192 hk), Golf GTi or Celica T-sport
The choice is between these three cars; The Rx-8 with 192 hp and manual 5-speed, the Volkswagen Golf Gti with 200 hp or the Toyota Celica T-sport with 192 hk. And no, I can't afford the high-power rx-8 :p Please give me some feedbacks on these cars for those who know anything about them. They all cost about the same for used 2004 model or so.

The RX8 MT and the AT cost about the same.
On average, there isn't or shouldn't be that much of a big price difference between the 192MPH AT and the "high power" 232MPH MT.

Yes that goes for the US I guess... But I don't live in the US, I live in Norway. The automat doesn't exist used as far as I've seen, but it's not like I want it either. Only Rx-8 I will get is the 192 hp 5-speed manual.

i used to own a mkv gti, it was an awesome car to drive, was pretty quick, and the interior is amazing...but it lacks the..."character" of the rx8, there isnt much feedback. the clutch pedal is longer than my dads 95 f-150 lol.
plus, noone knows what the gti is, so you get no looks or compliments, unlike the rx8 which everywhere i go i get compliments
and forget the celica lol

192 HP manual?
I thought every 6 MT was 232, and the AT was 192HP?
I think you have your info switched.
So if you can afford the 6 speed manual, then yes you can afford the "high power" RX8 because that is the one that has the 232HP.

I have done test drive in the Gti and rx-8. But the test drive I did in the rx-8 was with 4 persons in it. Felt like it didn't have as much power as the GTi but I'm not sure. May be because of the low torque combined with alot of weight in it.

the gti's smaller turbo make for alot of bottom end tq....if i remember correctly, peak tq is at 1800 rpm's!!
with the rx8, you have to rev it to get the power...its more of a drivers car

Y=(190*X) / (1984-X) ... Y is (HP) and X is (lbs)

Drive them all and go with what puts a smile on your face. We're all a bit biased here, of course, since this is a board for RX-8 owners.
But there is little doubt that the 8 is the way to go if you really want the sports car experience, and it is surprisingly practical to boot. The only thing that could kick the 8 out of the top spot is gas consumption, so keep that in mind if you're getting a car for long daily commutes.

Def the 8 is the nicest looking between the 2 (but I think you're in the wrong place to b asking what you should get) Look at the top of your screen............................................ .....oh what do you see RX8CLUB.COM so i think it might b a little biased
