RX-8 at Chicago Rev It Up!
Mazda had Velocity Red and Winning Blue at the event this past weekend. My impressions:
Likes:
-The cars were/are gorgeous!
-The seating front and rear was good. I had plenty of head room in the rear, 5'7", with some leg room to spare. I think some 6'+ rear seat passengers may feel a little cramped.
-The seats were very supportive and comfortable.
-The car is definitely made for the driver in mind. The car envelops the driver.
-Great brake/accelerator position. Perfect for heel/toe.
-The gear shifts were very smooth with short throws. However, they were a bit tight/narrow/close together, I'm not sure how else to describe this, and I can see some missing the correct gear when down shifting.
Dislikes:
-When closing the front doors, either driver or passenger, the front and rear door shake amplifying the lack of a B pillar.
-See shifting above.
-What's with the color names?!?
I can't wait to actually be able to test drive one.
P.S. If you can attend the event, do! It was blast.
