RX-8 to CX-5

RX-8 to CX-5
I'd been pondering trading my RX-8 for a CX-5 for quite some time, and I finally did it... after 8.5 years and 96,000 wonderfully fun miles. Such a bittersweet day... I doubt I'll ever be so in love with a car as I was my RX-8. I have nothing but good things to say about it, it really didn't cause me the troubles it's caused many others.
I mostly just needed something more practical at this point in life, easier to get in/out of, etc. Make me an RX-9 in a number of years though, and I'll consider one again
The CX-5 is a fantastic car too (and not as different as you might think), but right now it's hard to smile too much as I'm still mouring the loss of the 8.
So anyways, I wanted to thank all of you for the fun and advice and hand-holding these last eight years. It was quite an adventure and ride

Congrats with the new ride. Take a picture of your new ride and share it with us. Even though you don't have an rx8 anymore, try to keep in touch once in a while. Good luck with the CX5.

My Son got one when they came out and loves his! He wanted the M/T but it was only available in the sport but the A/T gets great MPG. I loved how it handled and want to really think about the diesel when it's available.

And this is from somehow who always swore she'd never, ever own one of those "stupid trucks that eat gas, manuever like bricks and block everyone's view." Leave it to Mazda to freeze he&& over, lol. But it's really not a CUV when you're driving it... maybe not quite a sports car, but at least a sporty car. It might not be everyone cup of tea here, as many of you are into power and modding and all that. But if you need/want a CUV for some reason, and appreciate delicate handling and "feel" more than whiplash power, give one a test drive
Touring, AWD, Metro Gray (very nice color in person, not really gray, kinda has blues/greens mixed in):
