I'm sure they'll love to hear that.

Lets all do that, we'll all write to MNAO about the same stealership and employee... that would be an all time best whoop *** from consumers

Regarding all of you who are attacking this salesman...who really gives a ****? It's just a job for this guy. He isn't passionate about any of the cars he sells, he's just trying to make a living. Everyone already knows that 95% of these poor bastards don't know **** about any of these cars, unless you include the information in the pamphlets they are forced to read. Car salesman are not enthusiasts like us, they just want to move cars off the lot. They will say whatever they can if they think it can help them make a sale, whicn includes pulling information from out of their *** like this guy did. This goes for all people in sales. Is this really a newsflash for you people?

the last letter on there has a good flow chart of what they are to do. if you don't have any complaint of power loss there is no need for them to run the test.
That's how I read it. They dealership just did the catalytic test on mine, replaced plugs, washed an gassed.

I had inquired about this with the Chicago Tribune's automotive guy a while back. The official line from Mazda's spokesperson was that the Rx-8 isn't going anywhere soon as it is an essential part of their plans for the future: aka hydrogen. Last I heard they have a hydrogen Rx-8 prototype running around in Japan. I'm sure this is old news to a lot, but the rotary engine works much much better for hydrogen applications that the traditional piston engine.

It's all about sales. Only if sales tank, will production be stopped.
Is't like when Ford wanted to stop the Mustang & substitute the Probe.
Customer demand rules.

And - FWIW the Hindenburg was NOT brought down by a hydorgen problem!
Gasolene is more dangerous than hydrogen..

Not really, I had photos and proprietary information on several Ford products far before they were launched. It's funny what you have the opportunity to see when some of your customers are Ford employees driving test mules for different projects. I have even sold photos to Motor Trend in the past before anyone else got them to the press.

We also get to take various trips throughout the year where future models are unveiled before the press has seen them as well.

yeah make him pay .... How would you feel if someone did that to you at your job? Do you know how stupid this sounds?

"Yeah Timmie let's get everyone at recess to tease Billie and call him a retard"....

There are also a lot of salespeople that are very successful and have vast amounts of product knowledge and have made this their career. This includes me. I have been with my dealership for 11 years. I train the new salespeople and I do take the time to read up not only on my products, but also my competition. I also tell my people that if you don't know the answer to your customer's questions don't just say something because you are afraid to ask someone who knows.

Not every salesperson is a *******. They are trying to make a living just like you. Maybe they aren't cool enough to sit in a cube with a headset on all day starring at lines of code. Maybe they aren't day traders, or doctors, or dentists but just like you they are trying to make a living.

It's frustrating answering the 100's of questions that people ask you that have nothing or everything to do with buying a car. It's also very disrespectful to waste people's time by stroking them off making them think you are going to buy something from them just so you can get on the internet and talk smack about what you did.

If you want a good deal and to be treated with respect when you buy a car. Do the person you're buying from the same courtesy.

The majority of salespeople have no idea about the cars they're selling. With the Internet there's absolutely no excuse for that other than laziness, stupidity, or a desire to intentionally mislead people. I don't expect every Mazda dealer to know everything zoom44 does, but it would be great if they knew that the car has a rotary engine.
