All the girls that are my friends I've shown it to have liked it
First I show them the head-on shot.. then the suicide doors.. ease them into it
They love the doors they think they are very ingenious, as do I

My sister and girlfriend suggest me to buy an IS 300 because they said that they liked out-looking and the regular way to open doors; however, i like the new idea on the 8 which you point out. i would to drive a four doors' car with the sport feeling. "RX-8" I am waiting for it, please don't take me so long to wait because i have been waiting for 8 since Tokyo Auto Show 1999.

I like the RX-8 because I value drivability and handling over raw power- which the RX-8 will also have- but that's just an added bonus. I had my heart set on a Miata, NOT because of the way it looked, but because I had driven one, and was in love with the way it handled. I also thought the fact that it had a rotary in it was really very interesting- I LOVE RX-7s, but I wanted a newer car with less chance of things going wrong. And anyway, the RX-8 will have 4 seats- very useful in showing it off to lots of friends at one time! I'm not as in lvoe with the styling on the 8 as I am with the 7, but sometimes compromises have to be made.
I am not really considering anything other than one of those two- I don't like American muscle cars like Mustangs, camaros, etc. I don't like most other Japanese cars like Infinitys and Lexus- I think they are alll VERY generic looking. The same goes for Nissan and Honda, and that includes the 350Z and S2000. I want something that is different. I *might* consider an Audi TT, but only if the something happens to make me hate Mazda.
I'm exactly the opposite of Grimace- my husband says he likes the RX-8, but I suspect he's just indulging me, so I don't show him pictures anymore!
And as for what type of female I am?? A normal one, I guess??? I'm 27, an editor, married for a year, desperately waiting for the RX-8...does that answer your question? I seem to be the only female that's really stuck around here on this forum very long.

Sorry, Sputnik- I should have said I would consider looking at a TT after driving one- I meant that I liked the way it looks compared to the S2000's and 350Zs, and I would consider taking it for a test drive with the possibility of buying it IF I liked the way it drove. I don't care how the S2000s and 350s drive, their styling is just not what I find attractive. Perhaps a little silly to judge a car on looks as well as the way it drives- but I am particular about styling as well.
And just so no one thinks I'm a complete idiot- I made it sound like I thought the Miata was rotary- sorry. I'm sure a rotary Miata would be fun, but I was referring the the RX-8, if a little unclearly.
And Zoom44- I would love to get my friends on here- but most of them know/care little about cars- I've already been told several times I'm crazy for wanting to go to Detroit in January. It's gotten to the point that I just don't talk about them except in front of guys.

I agree with Elara completely. I just got my RX8 and I love it. I love how it handles and I honestly feel like its perfect for me. I've been driving some rather ragged cars and I appreciate the RX8 more than anything...

Once my boyfriend gets his car situated we will be racing with one another and hopefully by then my RX8 will be all tweeked up.

My wife was the one that pushed me to get the 8. I was set on a Z until she took me to a Mazda dealer to test drive an 8. Funny thing is she's not really a car person she just liked the way the car looked.
