Like it's been said...you either get the RX8 or you don't. Clearly the OP doesn't get it.

I love all the people I come across who are totally focused on horsepower figures and torque. There seems to be some kind of cultural sense that if you don't have 400 WHP or more then you're car is slow.

WTF are you going to do with 400 whp on the street? Go 0 to 60 under 4 seconds and then cruise? This car is plenty fast enough to get me into trouble and the best part is I can stomp on the throttle and not have to worry about going to JAIL because oops I just did 150 mph.

Still, anyone that rolled with the phoenix crew back from Sevenstock knows that the rotary isn't a slow car by ANY means.

As for resale, have you talked to any of your friends with domestic vehicles? There's not a single domestic vehicle owner I know that isn't $9,000+ upside down in their payments. Most of these people put money DOWN when they bought the vehicle.

I have stories of how reliable this motor is and it's gone beyond the capabilities of a piston motor. Have fun owning something else. I hope your 8 finds a better owner.

Its does waste a lot of gas and burn oil.. your about right 1/2 quart of oil every 1K miles!

most people will deny it just because they own it.. no one wants to say thier car isnt the best..

I love my 8 Ive had many problems with mine.. from tranny issues (i learned to drive manuel in it my fault)

Air bag issues, brake squeels, 5 shift *****, etc etc...

I wouldnt get rid of it for wnything.. everyone has different views.. Im sure youll miss the car but sometimes it just gets annoying dealing with things like that.. I hope you got a car that suits you better you know?

MAZDA RX8's ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE!

goodluck with your new purchase!

While I don't agree with the OP's way of posting his problems.... do tell about those capabilities. The only thing I can find that is an advantage is weight, after that... nada. Maybe you are thinking of some of the older Rotaries and not the Renisis?
