RX-8 on Google Earth

I get really bored at work and like to use Google Earth a lot. I stumbled across an RX-8. I thought it was pretty cool.

Location: Parking lot of Bellagio in Las Vegas

This is awesome. There are only roughly 35,000 RX-8's on the road in North America and someone managed to find one in Google Earth. Pretty impressive.

Oh no...not a door ding! Must be nice to have a life where door dings are one of your major daily concerns.

Haha, yes of course! A single post about how we like to keep our valuable possessions in good condition describes a huge aspect of our daily lives! Please tell me you're bored jerky...

No, I think you people should get a grip on this ****. There are so many of you on here who post about door dings and little bullshit like that....that it's sickening. Sure you can spend as much time as you want imagining that if you double park or park away from other cars, there won't be any damage to your car when you get back. But what about when you drive home on the highway that one day where a shitload of debris suddenly flies into your path and scratches up your bumper and hood? Is that the point where you finally realize that you're not in control...and that your obsessive compulsion hasn't paid off? Or wait...you all probably bought clear bras and avoid highways too, right?

What's the point of buying a nice car like this is you dont take care of it. Granted you can't control debris on the highway but you can control how close you park next to people in a crowded parking lot. Not sure how people not wanting a door ding makes them stuck up but to each his own...

Stupid is stupid does.

Dumb enough to want door dings, then I hope they get many of them.

Did you ever think that maybe when the RX-8 pulled in the guy on the other side of him was crowding his spot? He'd then have no choice but to park the way he did.

And if you don't like that far fetched idea maybe it's just a girl owner with an automatic who doesn't know how to park! Haha, I kid, I kid.

Not calling the guy stupid for parking like that, just don't like it when someone on the forum basically says we are all whiners for not wanting door dings...

I'm very **** about where I park because yes, I don't want doordings. I'm not trying to be master of the universe, but parking to minimize doordings takes only slightly more effort on my part and makes me happier. Is it as important as paying the bills? Hell no, but I don't enjoy paying bills while I do enjoy the RX-8. I don't see what's wrong with trying to keep what I enjoy in as good of a condition as possible.

Totally. I treat every new car I've ever owned like it was a new-born baby... until it gets its first door ding. After that, I don't care. I just tear the s**t out of them; jump curbs, burn rubber, speed shift, park as close as I can to dump trucks, etc. I even stop washing and vacuuming. I mean, why bother? [sarcasim intentional]

You make a valid point. My thought thoughs are that personally I enjoy detailing my car and making it look nice. I understand that so long as I drive it however there is NO way it will stay perfect. However its a little easier to buff out or hide a scratch than it is to repair a door ding.
