RX-8 Handsfree?

Well, picking up my RX-8 tomorrow!!

'06 White (don't know the fancy name for the colour) GT, Manual

Performance Package (Front & Rear Rotary accents, MazdaSpeed wheels, Spoiler, MazdaSpeed Cold Air Intake)

Moonroof

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, now my questions:

I am wanting a good handsfree kit for my cell phone. Does anyone have any idea where to get this? Phone supplier, Mazda?

Also, As the Nav system was stupidly overpriced (3K) I decided to go for a portable system, this would probably be more detailed in the maps, cheaper, and well...portable so I could use it in my two Toyota Landcruisers as well.
Anyone have any experience with these? Good companies? Good for Ontario?

Thanks a lot!

PS, I THINK I posted this in the right place...If not, sorry

I took care of both in one item but you need a bluetooth phone for it to work. The Garmin Nuvi 360 is a nice small nav unit with speaker phone. I just got it this week but so far it's been great. Added feature is that its POI database will dial locations for you so I don't need to drag out the laptop to look up a number. Bought it at Buydig.com at much lower price than the major chains.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the car!
Please add location to your profile...

You can look into a noise cancelling headset for the cell phone but you need bluetooth for that.

Integrated handsfree phone wasn't an option from Mazda, so you'll likely have to go 3rd party.

Garmin has a range of great GPS/nav devices. Most portable nav systems are reasonable for Canada and for most of Ontario, but in general, outside of urban areas, the mapping isn't as great.

I am picking up a Bluetooth today...After I get the 8

Interesting that you can get them in one package...I'll have to look into that...Anyone know of anything that puts it through the car's speaker system? (Id really like to not have a headset, just something you dont have to fumble around with when someone calls)

Ontario: the bluetooth headset fits great in the ash tray. Super convenient way to get it quickly if your phone starts ringing.

+1...I've had my Nuvi 350 for about a year now and its just one of the best purchases i've ver made...the factory nav was totally overpriced...garmin...has pretty good products. Plus, you get updated maps almost everyother month.

Ontario, do you mind telling us how much you paid for it "out the door"?
