Curious if anyone has some options wish list like I do.

Maybe by the time I can get an RX-8 they will offer these:

- Bluetooth handsfree cell phone connectivity.
- Sequential 6-Speed manual transmission (seems this is in the works).
- Climate control.
- Disc Changer standard.

Telescoping steering wheel

Automatic climate control is not on my 'wish list' as it should be standard on any vehicle above $20k (and doesn't add much weight). Same applies to the in-dash 6 CD changer being standard with the premium audio system. See RX-8 sold in the rest of the world.

I want less weight. How about an RX-8 shortened by about 12" and the back seat and rear doors gone? Oh wait, that will be the new RX-7.:D

 

seat mounted seatbelts, as seen in some of the concept shots.
a la merc SL,

a fix for what in my view is the weakest design feature of the car.
(convinced the first person in the back of my car is gonna take a header out the door when they trip over the trailing seatbelt.)

 

They'll probably do this and raise the MSRP $500.

My wish list:

1) No moonroof option for Touring and GT packages

2) More two-color seating, like the RX-8 Forum image

3) Heated seat/mirror availability with the cloth seats

 

After a month with the car I'd have to go for (in order):
1) climate control that works - you get what you pay for I guess and we didn't pay all that much
2) HDD MP3 player option for the Bose so I can rip CD's to the HDD and have loads of songs available on the move. As the stereo is proprietary I can't even do this aftermarket (yet)
3) seat belts attached to the front seat - I haven't had a problem with them trailing but it just seems like the wrong way to do it
4) Telescopic wheel
5) Memory seats
