Smile Rx-8 with performance kit

Hi,

I just got my Rx-8 07 last friday... I really enjoy the car. Mazda had this promotion when I got the car. The gave a performance kit free. A P-flow was included in the kit.

I was wondering how much HP the Mazdaspeed p-flow adds to the car.

I heard that the car rates 240hp with the p-flow. But I figure that it adds 2 hp if I'm lucky. But then I wonder... maybe it's possible because of the type of motor... or something... I drove both the rx-8 07 with and without the p-flow. I noticed the car was much stronger with the P-flow... but then again maybe it's the extra sound that the p-flow makes thats giving me that impression ;-)

What do you guys think? 1-2 hp if I'm lucky right...

The p-flow is the low end performance extender.

Tell them you want the e-***** instead.

It's a cool air intake... for some reason they (Sales person) called it p-flow...

Not enough horsepower for you to really feel, in some cases people can lose hp with an intake. So somewhere between -5 and +5 horsepower.

By the way, how much did you pay since you got the "performance" package for "free"?

I think its a Canadian thing. The link Binary provided is mazda.ca. The other new owner is from Ontario.

Yes, it's a canadian thing...

I traded my mazda3 sport for it... I only had went thru 1 year of the 4 year lease with the 3, so I had penalties...

I'm paying 675 canadian per month for it. I did drop the price from 775 tho...

I also got this performance kit when I bought my RX-8 in March. I had the CAI installed, and I'm not impressed. Made the car louder and buzzy with no noticable increase in power. In fact, I could swear I've lost a bit of low end torque. I'm really considering going back to the factory setup.
